Our vision is simple: Make the most sustainable and effective reusable filtering face masks on the market to end mask trash.
We vow to do this while maintaining conscious and ethical business practices.
From Our Founder
As a global society, we have been faced with an unfair choice: personal health and social responsibility vs environmental responsibility. I wanted to create a solution to that trade off that serves both people and our planet. Incorporating circular practices and fostering transparency are at the heart of everything we do and embedded into the fabric of our story.
– Laura Robichaux, Founder, Ecomask

We view sustainability as economic, environmental, and social. Meaning that these three elements must be in balance for us to be sustainable. We believe in business as a force for good.
Material Health – Products are made using chemicals that are as safe as possible for humans and the environment by leading designers and product developers through a process of inventorying, assessing and optimizing material chemistries.
Material Reutilization - Waste is managed and eliminated by helping to ensure products remain in perpetual cycles of use and reuse from one product use cycle to the next.
By using ECONYL® and 100% Recycled Polyester (rPET) we are able to achieve over 60% recycled content use in our products. Due to this careful construction we have been able to develop a take back program to ensure the masks are appropriately recycled at the end of their useful life.
In addition our packaging is a carbon negative, compostable and recyclable.
Renewable Energy & Carbon Management - Products are manufactured using 100% renewable energy so that the impact of climate changing greenhouse gases due to the manufacturing of the product is reduced or eliminated.
Water Stewardship - Water is recognized as a valuable resource, watersheds are protected and clean water is available to people and all other organisms.
We do not use water directly in our manufacturing however this is a topic of concern when sourcing any dyed yarns and garments. Our colors are solution dyed which uses less water use than traditional methods and no banned or harmful chemicals. All the colors in the range, support the Cradle to Cradle certification.
Social Fairness - Business operations honor all people and natural systems affected by the manufacture of a product. All workers in our manufacturing system are paid a living wage.
Cradle to Cradle - This is a globally recognized design philosophy and a measure of safer, more sustainable products made for the circular economy. Ecomask adheres to this philosophy by having consulted materials and process experts to build our products with the end in mind.
